This 1.5-hour lesson is designed for complete beginners. You will learn the basic fundamentals of surfing and safety in a group setting. wetsuit and surfboard provided

Need to Know

ALL lessons are held at Doheny State Beach.

For ages 12 and up.

ALL instructors are trained in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety, and most importantly FUN.

  • Swimsuit, water, and towel. We will provide a wetsuit and surfboard for each student.

    Please note: Protective footwear (i.e. thick athletic socks or booties) is strongly recommended for the rocks. Don’t have any? Purchase some here.

  • Parents and families are welcome to observe the lesson. We ask that you observe from a distance and let us work our magic.

  • It is $15 per day or $2 an hour pay box.

  • Look for the Girl in the Curl Van in the Doheny State Beach Parking Lot — our exact location is pinned on the map.
